Why IMU ?

IMU has been a successful host of several annual debate tournaments in the Malaysian varsity arena; IMU Debate Open (IMUDO), Kopitiam Debate Tournament, Health Science Debate Open (HSDO), and HEP-IPTS Debate Tournament.

IMU is equipped with valuable resources needed for a big-scale tournament such as:
- Debate club: The debate club is experienced in hosting national debate tournaments and participated in many Asian/world level championships as to attain a better understanding of such standard of tournaments.
- Human resources: Students and staff who are well-versed with running a debate tournament due to our annual IMUDO and HSDO.
- Venue: Large theatre rooms, auditorium, multiple rooms of variable sizes. All venues in IMU is fully air-conditioned, carpeted, and well-furnished. Well-maintained public address system (PA system) available for use in main halls.

Location: Our campus is surrounded by local eatery and public transport (i.e. LRT) for the convenience of participants.
