"Understanding, nice, wonderful, hilarious, knowledgeable.

These are among the words used if one asks his students what they would say to describe Sheikh Faizal, the co-founder of Nous Academy.

He is an educator, trainer and parent-figure to not just a few students, but a whole army of them.

His success as a trainer include having trained his students to become the eventual champions of the Novice category of Asian Schools Debating Championship in 2014 (CHSPJ) and 2015 (CBN). His students have also since went on to reach multiple finals and semifinals up to this day.

As a debater, he is a 20 time National Finalist, winning 8 National Debating and Public speaking titles. An Asian Quarter-finalist, Australasians Semi-Finalist (ESL) and a Worlds Universities Debating Championship Quarter-Finalist( ESL). He was also the Overall best Speaker of the Ministry of Higher Education Cup (MOHEC) in 2013.

He has also been on the Adjudication panels of many debate tournaments in Malaysia and Asia. Among them, the Chief Adjudicator of the Asian Schools Debating Championship (ASDC) for 2016, the Deputy Chief Adjudicator of the ICRC – International Humanitarian Law in 2014, APU BP National Novice in 2015 and many more. "
